Running a Contest on InkFreakz
Tattoo contests on InkFreakz are created and managed by contest owners — approved organisers with the authority to run platform-wide competitions. This guide covers the full process from setup to results.
Creating a Contest
- Go to Dashboard → Contests → Create New Contest
- Fill in the contest details (see below)
- Set the submission window and judging period
- Publish the contest
Contest Details to Define
- Theme — What is the contest about? (e.g. "Best Black & Grey Realism", "Japanese Traditional", "Most Creative Flash")
- Eligibility — Verified artists only? Specific styles? Experience level?
- Submission rules — One entry per artist? Healed tattoos only? Minimum image quality?
- Prizes — What do winners receive? (Platform features, badges, cash prizes, sponsored products)
- Timeline — Submission open date, submission close date, judging period, results announcement date
Managing Submissions
During the submission window, entries appear in your Contest Dashboard. You can review submissions, flag any that violate the rules, and remove ineligible entries before judging begins.
Judging
Judging is carried out by the contest owner and any designated judges. Evaluate entries against the criteria defined in your contest rules. Document your scoring to ensure consistency and transparency.
Announcing Results
- Go to your Contest Dashboard and select winners
- Add a winner announcement message
- Publish the results
Winners are notified via email and the platform notification system. Results appear on the contest page permanently.
Promoting Your Contest
- Share the contest link on your social media channels
- Encourage participating artists to share their entries
- Consider offering a platform-wide announcement to maximise participation
