Power Tips for Every User Type
Whether you are an artist, a shop, or an enthusiast, these tips will help you get significantly more value from InkFreakz.
For Artists
- Post on Monday mornings. The Viral Leaderboard resets weekly. Posts uploaded early Monday have the full week to accumulate engagement.
- Upload healed photos. Fresh tattoos look great, but healed photos show the true final result — and they perform better in the Featured Archive selection.
- Write descriptions like a client would search. "Japanese koi sleeve, colour realism, full arm" is far more searchable than "new piece".
- Complete your profile before posting. An incomplete profile wastes the traffic your posts generate. Set up everything first.
- Link your social media. Clients who find you on InkFreakz will look you up on Instagram. Make it easy for them.
For Shops
- Reach Shop Score 100 before promoting. Any marketing you do drives traffic to your profile. A 100% Shop Score converts that traffic into enquiries.
- Keep your hours accurate. The Open Now indicator on your profile is driven by your business hours. Wrong hours = missed clients.
- Affiliate all your artists. A shop profile with 5 verified, portfolio-rich artists is dramatically more compelling than one with no team listed.
- Post guest spot listings even when you are not desperate. The best artists book up fast — post early and be selective.
For Enthusiasts
- Save tattoos you love. Build a collection of reference images to show artists when you book. It saves time and ensures you get what you actually want.
- Follow artists before you need them. Build your feed over time so when you are ready to book, you already know who you want.
- Use the Featured Archive for inspiration. It is a curated gallery of the platform's best work — better than any Pinterest board for finding serious tattoo inspiration.
- Check the verification badge. Always prioritise verified artists. It is the fastest way to filter out low-quality or fake profiles.
