InkFreakz ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform at inkfreakz.com. By creating an account or using InkFreakz, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
This policy applies to all users including tattoo artists, shop owners, clients, and visitors. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please discontinue use of our platform.
Information We Collect
Account & Profile Information
When you register, we collect: full name, email address, username, password (hashed), profile photo, bio, location (city/state), social media links, and for artists/shops: portfolio images, shop address, business name, and verification documents.
Transaction & Booking Data
When you use paid features (appointments, guest spot bookings, subscriptions), we collect: transaction amounts, booking dates, compensation terms, and platform fee records. Full payment card details are processed and stored by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not store raw card numbers.
Content You Upload
Photos, videos, tattoo designs, contest submissions, and any other content you post to the platform. This content may be publicly visible to other users depending on your privacy settings.
Usage & Technical Data
We automatically collect: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs, search queries within the platform, and feature interactions.
Communications
Messages sent through our platform's messaging system, support tickets, and any correspondence with our team.

Payment Data
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. InkFreakz does not store, process, or transmit full credit card numbers. We receive only a tokenized reference and the last 4 digits of your card for display purposes.
Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy. By making a payment on InkFreakz, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Transaction records (amounts, dates, parties) are retained for 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping requirements.
AI & Recommendations
InkFreakz uses algorithmic systems to personalize your experience, including: tattoo style recommendations, artist discovery, and content feed ordering. These systems analyze your interactions (views, likes, bookmarks, search history) to surface relevant content.
We do not use your uploaded content or personal data to train external AI models. Recommendation algorithms operate on anonymized behavioral signals only.
You may opt out of personalized recommendations in your account settings, which will result in a chronological, non-personalized feed.

When you delete your account, your public profile and content are removed within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including: TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit, bcrypt password hashing, encrypted database storage for sensitive fields, regular security audits, and access controls limiting employee access to personal data.
No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable law.
Your Rights
Regardless of your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format

Our lawful bases for processing are: contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent (where applicable). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.

CCPA — California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you specific rights regarding your personal information:

- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information
- Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information. You have the right to opt out of any future sale
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights

Children's Privacy
InkFreakz is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a user under 18 has provided personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete that information and terminate the account.

Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or by posting a prominent notice on our platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last Reviewed" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
