Visibility on InkFreakz is Earned, Not Automatic
When you first create an artist profile on InkFreakz, your account is in unverified status. This is intentional — it protects clients from fake or low-quality profiles and ensures that every artist visible on the platform meets a basic standard of professionalism.
What is Hidden While Unverified
As an unverified artist, the following are restricted:
- Search results — Your profile does not appear when clients search by name, style, or location
- Explore page — Your tattoos do not appear in the main discovery feed
- Viral Leaderboard — Your work cannot rank or appear in weekly leaderboard listings
- Featured Archive — You are not eligible for weekly featured selection
- Shop rosters — If affiliated with a shop, you will not appear in their artist team listing
- Guest Spot applications — Some shops require verified status before accepting applications
What You Can Still Do While Unverified
- Complete and edit your profile
- Upload tattoos to your portfolio
- Browse the platform as a user
- Submit a verification request

InkFreakz is built on trust. Clients use this platform to find real, professional tattoo artists. Without a verification gate, the platform would be flooded with inactive, fake, or low-quality profiles that damage the experience for everyone.
The verification process is a one-time review. Once approved, your profile becomes fully visible and you retain that status as long as your account remains in good standing.
