How to Use InkFreakz Messaging
Send and receive messages with artists, shops, and other users. Learn how the messaging system works, how to manage conversations, and how to stay safe.
Messaging on InkFreakz
The InkFreakz messaging system lets you communicate directly with artists, shops, and other users — all within the platform. Keeping your communications on-platform creates a clear record and keeps your personal contact details private until you choose to share them.
Starting a Conversation
To message an artist or shop, click the Message button on their profile. Write your message and send. They will receive a notification and can reply from their dashboard.
Managing Your Inbox
Access your messages from the envelope icon in the top navigation. Your inbox shows all active conversations. You can:
- Read and reply to messages
- Select multiple conversations and delete them
- Deleted conversations move to a trash folder and are permanently removed after 7 days
Staying Safe
- Never share payment details via the messaging system
- Be cautious of anyone asking you to move the conversation off-platform immediately
- Report suspicious messages using the Report button in the conversation
For Booking Enquiries
When messaging an artist about a booking, include: what you want, body placement, your general availability, and any reference images. The more detail you provide upfront, the faster you will get a useful response.
