Your Profile is Your Storefront

When a potential client finds you on InkFreakz — whether through search, the Viral Leaderboard, or the Featured Archive — your profile is the first thing they see. A complete, well-crafted profile builds trust instantly and converts visitors into bookings.

Step 1: Profile Photo & Cover Image

Your profile photo should be a clear, professional headshot or a photo of you working. Avoid logos or tattoo photos here — clients want to see the person behind the work. Recommended size: 400×400px minimum, square crop.

Your cover image is the wide banner at the top of your profile. Use a high-quality photo of your best work or your studio environment. Recommended size: 1200×400px.

Step 2: Display Name & Username

Your display name is how you appear in search results and on your profile. Use your artist name or real name — whatever clients know you by. Your username forms your profile URL (e.g. inkfreakz.com/yourusername) and cannot be changed easily, so choose carefully.

Step 3: Bio

Write a bio that tells your story. Include:

  • Your specialties and preferred styles
  • How long you have been tattooing
  • Your studio or city
  • What makes your work unique
  • How clients can book with you

Aim for 100–250 words. Avoid generic phrases like "passionate artist" — be specific about your craft.

Step 4: Tattoo Styles

Select all styles you work in from the provided list. This directly affects which search filters you appear in. If you specialise in a style not listed, include it in your bio.

Step 5: Location

Set your city, region, and country. Clients frequently search by location — this is one of the most important fields for local discovery. If you travel regularly for guest spots, mention this in your bio.

Step 6: Years of Experience

This appears on your profile and contributes to your profile completeness score. Be accurate — clients use this to gauge your experience level.

Step 7: Booking Status & Rates

Set whether you are currently accepting bookings. If you have a minimum rate or day rate, add it here. Transparency about pricing reduces time-wasting enquiries.

Step 8: Social Media Links

Connect your Instagram, TikTok, X, and other platforms. These appear on your profile and give clients additional ways to see your work and verify your identity.

Step 9: Portfolio Upload

Once your profile is set up, start uploading your tattoos. See the tutorial How to Upload & Tag Your Tattoos for full guidance on image quality and tagging.

Profile Completeness Tip: The more fields you complete, the higher your profile completeness score. Incomplete profiles are less likely to appear in search results and will not be considered for the Featured Archive.
